Volunteer Maine
VolunteerMaine is a free, web-based, state-wide volunteer center, that links agencies looking for volunteers with people who are interested in volunteer opportunities. The members of the VolunteerMaine Partnership are state, non-profit, public and private agencies that have come together with the sole purpose of promoting volunteerism in Maine and meet the needs of the volunteer programs operating locally so they are able to effectively respond to critical local needs.
Volunteers can use VolunteerMaine to:
- Search by zip code, interest area, time availability, or skill set to find a volunteer opportunity
- Set up a personal profile
- Contact volunteer programs immediately
Agencies can use VolunteerMaine to:
- Post volunteer opportunities
- Find board and committee members
- Link to donated supplies and equipment
- List special events and service projects
